By the entity that manages the domain

a) First-party cookies: those sent to the user's terminal from a device or domain managed by the publisher itself, and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

b) Third-party cookies: those sent to the user's terminal from a device or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

By their duration

a) Session cookies: stored on the terminal until the user's browsing session ends.

b) Persistent cookies: data remain stored on the terminal and can be accessed over a period defined by the cookie's controller.
